You can extend your Phyn Smart Water Sensor’s battery life by reducing how often temperature and humidity data is sent to the app. You can choose updates three times per day, once per day, or once per week. Regardless of the setting you choose, alerts will still be sent immediately if an issue is detected.
Change the battery life setting
Launch the Phyn app.
Tap Menu.
Tap Settings.
Tap Devices.
Select the Phyn Smart Water Sensor you want to update.
Tap Battery Life.
Choose one of the following options:
Low Power Mode – updates every 72 hours, estimated 2-year battery life
Occasional Update Mode – updates every 24 hours, estimated 2-year battery life
Frequent Update Mode – updates every 8 hours, estimated 1-year battery life
Tap Save.
After saving, you will see the message:
“Settings will be updated within 24 hours. To save battery, your new settings will be applied within the next 24 hours.”
Apply the setting immediately
If you want the new battery life setting to take effect right away, press the button on the side of the sensor. You will hear three beeps, see the Phyn logo flash green, and receive a confirmation notification.
