If you are unable to pair your Phyn device to your home network and the message “Pairing Error FirmwareError2 Please try pairing again” is displayed,  this is an indication that your home Wi-Fi network router configuration is blocking the pairing.

During Pairing, the device checks to see that the home Wi-Fi network configuration is compatible.  If a firewall or port blocking has been enabled or if network security software has been enabled, pairing will fail and this error message will be displayed.  

Examples of network security software that must be disabled to permit the Phyn device to pair:

  • Netgear Armor
  • Eero Secure
  • Trend Micro Home Network Security
