Away Mode is a feature available in Phyn App version 4.6.1 or later. When enabled, it makes your Phyn Smart Water Assistant more sensitive to unexpected water use.
Away Mode is ideal when you are away from home and do not expect any water activity.
When Away Mode is turned on, Phyn will trigger an alert if it detects continuous water flow, at any flow rate, for 1 minute or longer.
Important
If you have appliances or fixtures that may run for longer than 1 minute while you are away (such as irrigation, humidifiers, or automatic refill systems), Phyn will detect that activity and send an alert.
How to Enable Away Mode
Open the Phyn app.
Tap Menu in the upper left-hand corner.
Tap Settings.
Locate Away Mode.
Tap the toggle button.
When the toggle changes from gray to green, Away Mode is enabled.
You will also see a green indicator on the Activity Monitor screen showing “Away Mode On.”
How to Disable Away Mode
Open the Phyn app.
Tap Menu.
Tap Account.
Tap Settings.
Tap Away Mode.
Tap the toggle button.
When the toggle changes from green to gray, Away Mode is disabled.
