Away Mode is a feature that can be enabled on Phyn App v. 4.6.1 or higher. Away Mode makes the Phyn Smart Water Assistant very sensitive and it will alert you much sooner if it notices any unexpected water usage activity.
It’s perfect for when you are out of town and there should be no ongoing water usage at your home. When Away Mode is enabled, an alert will be triggered if the algorithm detects continuous flow, at any flow rate, for 1 minute or longer.
Note: If you enable Away Mode, be aware that if you have any appliances or fixtures that use water continuously for 1 minute or longer while you are away, the Phyn Plus will detect that water usage and send you an alert.
How to enable Away Mode
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen
- Tap Settings
- By default Away Mode is disabled and the toggle button will appear grayed out.
- Tap the toggle button
- When the color of the toggle button changes from gray to green, Away Mode is enabled.
- When Away Mode is enabled a green icon will appear at the Activity Monitor screen showing “Away Mode On”
How to disable Away Mode
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen
- Tap Account > Settings > Away Mode
- Tap the toggle button
- When the color of the toggle button changes from green to gray, Away Mode is disabled.
