Phyn's updated water alerts give you more control over how unusual water events are handled and help Phyn better understand what's normal for your home.
What happens when I receive a new alert?
When Phyn detects unusual water activity, you may be asked a few questions about the event, such as whether the water use was expected.
If the event was expected, you can tell Phyn how long similar water use can normally continue. Phyn uses this information to help determine how similar events should be handled in the future.
Where can I see my selections?
After you respond to an alert, your selections are saved with the water event. Open the alert in Menu -> Water Use Plus -> and look for Water Event Settings to review your selections.

Water Event Settings in alert details
Depending on the event, you may see:
Expected - Whether you identified the water use as expected.
Max Duration - How long similar water use can continue before Phyn considers it unusual.
Can I change my selections later?
Yes. Tap a setting under Water Event Settings to update it. For example, you can change whether the water use was expected or adjust the maximum duration for similar events.
Changes you make help Phyn determine how similar water events should be handled in the future.
What does "Remove Limit" mean?
Remove Limit removes the maximum duration you previously set for similar events. Because long-running water events can sometimes indicate a leak, review the in-app warning before confirming this option.
Why don't I see Water Event Settings on an older alert?
Water Event Settings are part of the updated alert experience and are only available for new alerts that use the update. You won't see these settings on alerts you received previously.
