If you’re having trouble pairing your Phyn device with a Google Pixel, Pixel 2, or Pixel 3, the issue is usually related to app permissions.
Step 1: Update the Phyn App
Make sure you are running the latest version of the Phyn App from the Google Play Store.
Many pairing issues are resolved with the latest update.
If pairing still fails after updating, continue below.
Step 2: Enable Required App Permissions
Enable Storage Permission
Open Settings.
Tap Apps & Notifications.
Tap App permissions.
Select Storage.
Scroll to Phyn.
Toggle the switch ON.
(By default, this permission may be turned OFF)
Step 3: Retry Pairing
Exit the Settings menu and return to the Phyn App.
You should now be able to complete the pairing process successfully on your Google Pixel device.
Still Having Trouble?
If pairing continues to fail:
Confirm Bluetooth is enabled
Ensure Wi-Fi signal strength is strong at the device location
Restart both your phone and the Phyn device before retrying
