Follow these instructions to pair your Phyn Smart Water Assistant to a new Wi-Fi router.

Note: When you change Wi-Fi routers, you need to disconnect your Phyn Smart Water Assistant from the old Wi-Fi router before connecting it to your new Wi-Fi router. Disconnecting your old router will put the Phyn device in “Device Offline” status in the Phyn App, and will put the Phyn device into Pairing mode.

After you have verified that your old Wi-Fi network is offline, follow these steps:

iPhone / Android:

  1. Ensure your old Wi-Fi router is turned off.
  2. Ensure your new Wi-Fi router is turned on.
  3. Launch the Phyn App
  4. Your Phyn Smart Water Assistant should appear as “Device Offline” in the Phyn App”
  5. Tap Menu > Settings > Device > Phyn Smart Water Assistant
  6. Tap Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Network
  7. At the Change Network screen, follow the instructions
  8. The device should already be in Pairing Mode – The LED display should show blue bars extending out from the middle to either side.
  9. If the LED display does not show the Pairing mode display, using the tip of a ballpoint pen, lightly tap the recessed button on the top of the Phyn device.  The device should now be in pairing mode
  10. Scan the QR code (You will need to aim your phone’s camera underneath the Phyn Smart Water Assistant where the QR code is located).  This may take a few attempts.  If you are unable to pair using the camera, use your phone’s camera to take a picture of the QR code.  Mark down the 6-digit alphanumeric code.  When prompted you can manually enter the QR code.
  11. Pair to your home Wi-Fi network
  12. Skip through the installation steps in the App – Tap Next
  13. Run the Hot Water calibration
  14. After the Hot Water calibration, pairing is complete.  The Phyn App will return to the Water Activity screen
