Phyn Smart Water Sensor

If you already have 9 Phyn Smart Water Sensors added to a Home in the Phyn app and attempt to add another sensor, you will see the following error message:

Max Devices Added
“You have added the maximum number of devices to this home. To add additional sensors, set up the new sensor as a new Home in the Phyn app or remove an existing sensor from the Home that already has 9 sensors configured”


How many Phyn Smart Water Sensors can be added?

The maximum number of Phyn Smart Water Sensors you can add depends on the type of Phyn device installed in the Home.


Home with Phyn Plus and Sensors

  • Up to 9 Phyn Smart Water Sensors can be added

  • Up to 9 Phyn Smart Water Sensors can control Auto Shutoff on the Phyn Plus

If you want to add more sensors:

  1. Tap Add Home in the Phyn app.

  2. Create a new Home using the same address.

  3. Give the Home a descriptive name such as “Upstairs Sensors”.

  4. Add additional sensors to the new Home.

Note: Any additional sensors added beyond the first 9 cannot control Auto Shutoff on the Phyn Plus.


Home with Phyn Smart Water Assistant and Sensors

  • Up to 9 Phyn Smart Water Sensors can be added

If you want to add more sensors:

  1. Tap Add Home in the Phyn app.

  2. Create a new Home using the same address.

  3. Give the Home a descriptive name such as “Upstairs Sensors”.

  4. Add additional sensors to the new Home.


Home with Phyn Smart Water Sensors Only

If you do not have a Phyn Plus or a Phyn Smart Water Assistant and have a large or multi-level home, you can create multiple virtual Homes in the Phyn app.

  • Up to 6 virtual Homes can be created

  • Each Home can have up to 9 Phyn Smart Water Sensors

Recommended setup:

  1. Create one virtual Home per floor.

  2. Name each Home by location, such as Basement, First Floor, Second Floor, Attic.

  3. Add up to 9 sensors per Home.

  • Maximum total supported sensors: 54

  • 9 sensors × 6 Homes = 54 sensors
