Phyn app error message: “This email is already in use”

If you see the message “This email is already in use” during account sign-up, it usually means the account was created but not fully verified.

This can happen if you tapped Create Account, received a 6-digit SMS verification code, but did not enter the code in the app. As a result, the email address exists in an unconfirmed state.

Follow the steps below to complete verification and finish setting up your account.


How to resolve the issue

  1. Force close the Phyn app.

  2. Relaunch the Phyn app.

  3. Tap Log In.

  4. Enter the email address and password you originally selected.

  5. You will be taken to the Account Verification screen.

  6. Wait for a new SMS message containing a 6-digit verification code.

  7. Enter the new 6-digit code when prompted.

  8. Continue following the on-screen steps to complete your Phyn account setup.


Important notes

  • Do not enter the original 6-digit code you received, as it will fail authentication

  • Only use the most recent verification code sent via SMS

Once the new code is entered successfully, your account will be confirmed and ready to use.
