Unable to pair: Android stuck on “Searching for Networks”

Last updated on 30 Jan, 2026

If you’re pairing a Phyn Plus using an Android device and the app gets stuck on the Connect to Network screen showing a spinning “Searching for Networks” icon without displaying available Wi-Fi networks or an error message, try the steps below.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Uninstall the Phyn app from your Android device.

  2. Reinstall the Phyn app and make sure to allow all required permissions when prompted

    • If you tap Deny instead of Allow, the app cannot discover Wi-Fi networks

  3. Confirm your Phyn Plus is in pairing mode

    • The LED should show the blue “Searching” pattern

  4. Restart the pairing process in the Phyn app.

If pairing fails, the app should display an error message explaining why the attempt was unsuccessful.

If the app continues to show the spinning “Searching for Networks” icon for more than 5 minutes without an error message, contact Phyn Customer Support for further assistance.
