Water Use Plus (Beta) – How to Correct a Fixture Label

Last updated on 30 Jan, 2026

How do I correct the fixture label for a water activity?

If a water activity is assigned the wrong fixture type, you can correct it directly in the Phyn app. This feedback helps Phyn learn and improves future water-use categorization.

Steps to correct a fixture label

  1. Open the Phyn app.

  2. Tap Water Use Plus.

  3. Select Water Log.

  4. Tap the water activity you want to update.

  5. Select Edit Label (or Correct Fixture).

  6. Choose the correct fixture type from the list.

  7. Save your change.

What happens after I correct a label?

  • The corrected activity will be marked with a person icon, indicating user-provided feedback.

  • System-generated labels are marked with the Phyn logo.

  • Your feedback is used to improve Phyn’s AI and helps increase accuracy for similar water activities in the future.

Why is this feature part of the Beta program?

During the Water Use Plus Beta period, Phyn is actively learning how to better recognize different fixture types based on real-world usage patterns. User corrections play an important role in this learning process.

You may not see immediate changes, but improvements typically become noticeable over time as the system processes more data and feedback.

Why can’t some activities be edited?

Some water activities may not be editable if:

  • The activity is still in progress

  • The device was temporarily offline

  • The usage is associated with an active or recent leak alert

Once the activity is complete, editing may become available.
