The Plumbing Check algorithm uses two parameters to determine whether there is a leak in the plumbing or not. These two parameters are:

  1. Drop in pressure (dP): The total drop in pressure from the start of the Plumbing Check till the end of the Plumbing Check (~3min). This is measured in psi.
  2. Estimated leak diameter (dD): Using a patented algorithm we calculate an estimate of the diameter of the leak. This is measured in inches.

Normal Plumbing Check When running a Plumbing Check from the App, a Plumbing Check alert for a Normal Plumbing Check is sent if either of the following conditions is satisfied:

  1. dD is greater than 0.02" OR dP is greater than 25 psi
  2. dD is between 0.006" and 0.02" AND dP is greater than 3 psi
  3. dD is less than 0.006" AND dP is greater than 5.5 psi

Extended Plumbing Check When running a Plumbing Check from the App, a Plumbing Check Alert is sent for an Extended Plumbing Check if:

  1. dP is greater than 4.5 psi over a 10 minute period
