What can I do if my angle stops are push-to-connect fittings without threaded connectors?

Last updated on 30 Jan, 2026

Some angle stops use push-to-connect fittings instead of threaded connections. In these cases, Phyn Smart Water Assistant can still be installed with the correct adapter.

If the push-to-connect fitting is not crimped

If the fitting can be removed, you can install a push-to-connect tee adapter that includes a ⅜” threaded connection for Phyn.

If the push-to-connect fitting is crimped

If the fitting is permanently crimped in place, you will need to modify the water line:

  1. Turn off the water supply.

  2. Cut the water line.

  3. Install a three-way adapter with:

    • Two push-to-connect ends for the water line.

    • One ⅜” threaded outlet for the Phyn Smart Water Assistant.

Need help?

If you’re unsure which type of fitting you have or which adapter to use, take a photo of the plumbing under your sink and contact Phyn Support to discuss your installation options.
