If you notice a leak at a sensor connection after installing Phyn Smart Water Assistant, take action right away to prevent water damage.
How to fix a leaking connection
Turn off the water at the angle stop connected to the leaking sensor.
Carefully unthread the sensor, using a cup or bucket to catch any remaining water in the line.
Reattach the sensor, making sure it is aligned straight and threaded securely.
Hand-tighten until snug, ensuring a watertight seal.
Turn the water back on.
Open the faucet and use a dry paper towel to check that the connection is no longer leaking.
Additional tips
In some homes, older rubber washers inside flexible water hoses can become brittle over time and may contribute to leaks. After installation, we recommend placing a pan or dry towel under the angle stops and checking the connections a few times within the first 12 hours.
Phyn will also send an SMS reminder after installation to prompt you to recheck for leaks.
