Plumbing Check Smart ID gives you more control over Plumbing Check alerts by allowing you to pause notifications for specific, recurring pressure drop patterns. This helps reduce repeated alerts when you already understand the cause and are actively working on a fix.
Smart IDs should only be paused when you are confident you know the source of the pressure drop and have a plan to resolve it.

How Plumbing Check Smart ID works
When Phyn’s AI detects the same pressure drop pattern at least five times, you may be asked if you recognize the source of the alert. From that prompt, you can:
View alert details
Select I don’t know
Select Yes to confirm you know the source
If you select Yes, you will be guided through identifying the fixture so Phyn can better isolate the cause.
Identifying the source and pausing alerts
Identify the fixture associated with the pressure drop.
If the fixture is new, add it to your Inventory.
Save your selection.
Choose whether to continue receiving alerts or silence notifications.
If you choose to silence notifications, you can select:
Silence Temporarily for 1 to 16 weeks (recommended)
Silence Indefinitely
Be sure to tap Save to apply your preferences and Done once the Smart ID is activated.
Note: To mute alerts indefinitely, SMS messaging from Phyn must be enabled. If SMS is blocked, you will not receive the required verification code.
Removing or re-enabling Smart IDs
Once the plumbing issue is resolved, or if you want to receive alerts again, you must remove the Smart ID or wait for the temporary pause to expire.
To remove a Plumbing Check Smart ID:
Go to Settings > Plumbing Check > Smart IDs.
Select the Smart ID you want to remove.
Tap Remove Smart ID.
Select Yes, remove, then tap Done.

Limitations and best practices
You can enable a maximum of three Plumbing Check Smart IDs at one time
Some plumbing systems naturally experience pressure drops without leaks
Using Smart IDs indefinitely is not recommended unless you are certain of the cause
Silencing alerts without resolving an actual leak could result in property damage over time.
