Phyn Smart Water Assistant works in most homes — let’s make sure it works in yours.
Home Requirements
A single-family home or structure with its own individual plumbing system (main water line and water meter).
Access to the main water supply line under a sink where the device will be installed.
Plumbing Recommendation
A Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV) is recommended for the best Phyn experience.
What is a Pressure Regulating Valve (PRV)?
A PRV is a plumbing device that controls and stabilizes the water pressure entering your home from the municipal supply.
It is typically installed near where the main water line enters the house.
It reduces high incoming water pressure to a safe, consistent level (usually 45–75 PSI).
Stable pressure improves leak detection accuracy and helps protect plumbing fixtures and appliances.
Most homes already have a PRV installed. If you're unsure, a plumber can confirm.
Installation Requirements
