Smart ID for Plumbing Check (PC) are engineered to provide you more control over alerts received from plumbing checks by giving you the option to pause specific alerts. If Phyn repeatedly identifies the same pressure drop, you'll receive an initial notification and then can pause further alerts for that particular event with Smart ID. Pausing the alert allows you to focus on resolving the leak without daily notifications. It is recommended you only pause the Plumbing Check alert if you are certain you know the cause and have a plan to fix the cause of the pressure drop.

Once our AI system has seen the same pressure drop pattern at least five times, you may be asked if you know the source of the alert. From here, you can click "See Alert Details" for additional information, click "I don't know," or click "Yes."
If you click "Yes," you will be asked to identify the fixture so our AI can better isolate the source. If the source is a new fixture you will be able to add it to your Inventory, After you save, you will have the option to silence the notifications or continue to be notified about this issue when future Plumbing Checks are run. If you choose "Yes, silence notifications," you will have the option to Silence Temporarily or Silence Indefinitely. It is recommended that you choose Silence Temporarily and choose between 1 and 16 weeks to stop receiving alert notifications for this specific pressure drop. Please make sure you are selecting “Save” when designating your preferences and “Done” once the ID filter is activated.
NOTE: As part of the verification process for Indefinitely muting notifications, SMS messaging from Phyn must be allowed. If you have blocked SMS messaging you will be unable to receive the verification code.
Once you have fixed the plumbing issue or you would like to receive alert notifications related to this pressure drop again, you must remove the Smart ID or wait for the paused timeframe to end. To remove a PC Smart ID go to
Settings > Plumbing Check > Smart IDs.
Then click on the PC Smart ID you wish to remove and click
Remove Smart IDs > Yes, remove > Done.

Limitations
We understand that every plumbing system is different, and some systems may have known pressure drops without a leak. Since every system is dynamic, you can enable a maximum of 3 different PC smart IDs at once. It is not recommended to use PC smart IDs indefinitely unless you are certain about the cause of an alert because you risk damage to your property if there is an ongoing leak.
