Unions or parts are required to connect your Phyn Plus to ¾" or 1” water lines or PEX plumbing. Phyn requires a 1" NPSM Straight Water Meter Coupling (including gasket) w/ Male Threaded Adapter (Lead-Free Brass) to match your waterline size i.e. 3/4" or 1". These will be commonly advertised as 1" NPSM x 3/4" NPT or 1" NPSM x 1" NPT. Please ensure the unions include a gasket.
1"NPSM Straight Water Service Meter Coupling (including gasket) x 3/4" NPT are available through Home Depot, Hajoca SupplyHouse.Com, WinSupplyInc.Com, and others. 1"NPSM Straight Water Service Meter Coupling (including gasket) x 1" NPT are available through Ford Meter Box (and their distributors), Ferguson Waterworks Division, WinSupplyInc.com, and others.
NOTE: The 1"NPSM x 3/4" NPT unions can be used for 1" lines using the appropriate bushing. For PEX You can use the brass plumbing unions with a transition fitting to connect copper to PEX plumbing. Alternatively, Uponor offers ProPEX EP Straight Water Meter Fitting, 3/4"PEX x 1" NPSM, and ProPEX EP Elbow Water Meter Fitting, 3/4"PEX x 1" NPSM. For Indoor installation, only, Sharkbite Push-to-Connect adapters are also compatible. Phyn strongly recommends you consult your plumber who is a licensed plumbing expert.
