Last updated on 26 Jan, 2026

Phyn devices require a secure Wi-Fi connection and do not support the following network types or security profiles:

  • Open networks (no password)

  • WPA (any version)

  • WPA Personal (any version), also called WPA-PSK

  • WPA / WPA2 Enterprise

  • WPA2-PSK (TKIP encryption)
Note: WPA2-PSK with AES encryption is supported.

  • WPA2 Enterprise

  • WPA3 (any version)

Supported Wi-Fi Security

For best results, your router should be configured to:

  • WPA2-Personal (AES) or

  • WPA / WPA2-Personal

If you’re unsure which security type your network is using, check your router settings or contact your internet service provider.
