I switched to a new Wi-Fi router. How can I pair my Phyn Plus?

When you switch to a new Wi-Fi router, your Phyn Plus must be paired again so it can connect to the new network.

Before you begin

• Disconnect or power down your old Wi-Fi router.
  This will place the Phyn Plus offline and allow it to enter pairing mode.

• Make sure your phone is nearby and Bluetooth is enabled.

• Confirm the Phyn Plus is in pairing mode.
  The LED display should show blue bars extending outward from the center.
  If not, press the blue button once to enter pairing mode.

Pair your Phyn Plus with the new Wi-Fi router

1. Open the Phyn App.

2. Tap Menu > Settings > Device > Phyn Plus.

3. Tap Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Network.

4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Connect your phone to the Phyn Plus network

• iPhone

  • Open Settings > Wi-Fi

  • Select Phyn.Plus.XXX

  • You may see “Unsecured Network” — this is expected

• Android

  • Open Settings > Wi-Fi

  • Select Phyn.Plus.XXX

  • If prompted, tap Keep Wi-Fi Connection

  • You may see “Internet may not be available” — this is expected

Return to the Phyn App when prompted.

Connect the Phyn Plus to your new Wi-Fi network

1. When Searching for Networks appears, select your new Wi-Fi network.

   • If you don’t see it, tap Refresh.

2. Enter your Wi-Fi password (case-sensitive) and tap Connect.

3. Wait while the device pairs and updates.

4. Tap Okay once setup is complete.

You’ll see confirmation messages such as:

• Your device was successfully connected

• Firmware Update

• Your Wi-Fi was successfully updated

What you’ll see on your phone

These screens are normal during setup:

• Wi-Fi list showing Phyn.Plus.XXX

• Messages like “Unsecured Network” or “Internet may not be available”

• Phyn App screens showing Searching for Networks and Pairing your device

• A confirmation screen when setup is complete

If pairing doesn’t work

If the steps above don’t resolve the issue, try setting up the device again from scratch.

Reset and set up as a new home (iPhone and Android)

1. Hard reset the Phyn Plus device.

2. Open the Phyn App.

3. Tap the Menu icon.

4. At the top of the screen, tap Add Device.

5. Select Set Up a New Home.

6. Choose Phyn Plus and follow the on-screen instructions.

Helpful tips

• Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive.

• Temporary disconnects during setup are normal.

• Keep your phone close to the Phyn Plus during pairing.
