Phyn devices work with most Wi-Fi routers that support a dedicated 2.4 GHz network SSID and are configured with a compatible security profile.
Supported Wi-Fi security profiles
Phyn devices are compatible with the following Wi-Fi security settings:
WEP
Works, but not recommended
Networks using WEP can be easily compromisedWPA2 Personal
Also known as WPA2-PSK, PSK2, WPA2-PSK (AES only, not TKIP), WPA2-PSK/AESWPA/WPA2 Personal (Mixed Mode)
Also known as WPA/WPA2 Mixed Mode, WPA/WPA2 PSK, WPA/WPA2 (TKIP/AES), PSK2-Mixed
Unsupported Wi-Fi configurations
Phyn devices will not work if your Wi-Fi router is configured as:
Open (no security)
WPA only
Any other unsupported or enterprise-level security profile
Note: The Wi-Fi Alliance strongly recommends upgrading from WEP or WPA to WPA2 Personal or WPA/WPA2 Personal (Mixed Mode) for improved security.

Additional considerations
Phyn devices operate only on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks
Routers that combine 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under a single SSID (common with mesh networks) may require additional configuration
